The Daily Hello system has been designed for simple and
reliable operation with a minimum of staff time for maintenance.
Here is the perspective from folks who will use the system. This
description assumes use in a typical school bus transportation department.

Bus Drivers
Each morning the driver places a phone call to Daily Hello. The
driver enters the bus number and a password when the system answers.
The driver will then hear any special message the dispatcher or
transportation director has recorded.
The recording could announce a school opening delay or special weather
message, or could even remind drivers of a staff meeting.

Dispatcher
The dispatcher keeps a web browser pointed to the Daily Hello
screen. There is an expected check-in time for each bus and if the
driver has not checked in by the designated time the name appears on the
dispatcher screen.
One the name appears the dispatcher can contact the driver and, if
unsuccessful, arrange for an alternate driver.
